Blacks Creek Work Weekend

The mountain-riding season is coming up and the annual Blacks Creek Work Weekend is upon us.
Date: April 11th, 2026
Time: Saturday 9:30 am Rider Meeting, 10:00 Head out
Location: Blacks Creek 1/4 mile past Bender Creek OHV trailhead 43.53049, -115.86427
Work Details: We still have to receive details from Idaho Parks and Rec and Forest service on the needs before anything is set in stone.
Dinner Details: We will have a fully-catered dinner for all work participants around 5:00 pm Saturday evening. As always the club will have fried chicken, macaroni salad, potato salad, rolls, and some cookies for all the volunteers. If you volunteer in any way for this event, you can eat! We could use some volunteers for food serving and cleanup too.
Who Benefits: Much of the money raised by your efforts on Saturday will be used to purchase items such as; tools, chainsaws, bar oil, safety gear, and the club's dinner that is provided.
What to Bring: If you can, please bring a small shovel, hoe or similar tool. If you can carry a chainsaw or brush cutter, then please bring it. A few chain saws are needed. If you are able to safely carry a “trail tool” such as a Shovel, Pulaski, Hoe, or McCloud, on your bike, even better. Nobody will carry tools for you.
Please bring a digital camera or a cell phone with a camera! We need before and after photos. We will have small notebooks for each trail crew (please make detailed notes so the club can fill out all the trail forms to submit to the Forest Service).
The weather is supposed to be perfect! Heck, it’s always perfect in Idaho! Please dress accordingly.
Again, you will need to ride your bike to work sites on the trail system so please bring your bike, riding gear, trail food, water, etc.
